A l'origine, Brivezac était un archiprêtré qui s'étendait sur 46 paroisses. Au 12e siècle, Beaulieu prend l'avantage et la prééminance de Brivezac disparaît. Le portail de la façade ouest semble plus ancien (11e siècle).Classement monument historique :
