Historique :	Cet ensemble a été commandé par M. Saint-Priech, curé de Chaumeil, au sculpteur tullois Pierre Duhamel. Le 21 février 1687, alors que le retable de Lagraulière n'est pas encore terminé, Pierre Duhamel sous-traite par contrat la menuiserie du tabernacle de Chaumeil à son frère Léger Duhamel. Aujourd'hui dans la chapelle sud, cet ensemble était à l'origine le maître-autel.
