Historique :	Le couronnement du retable a été détruit en 1854 lorsque le plafond de l'église a été refait ; le tabernacle était surmonté par une exposition trapézoïdale, entourée de deux anges porte-flambeaux, ceux-ci sont conservés ; au 19e siècle un antependium sur toile figurant la Cène a été installé sur la façade de l'autel (il pourrait s'agir du tableau conservé dans la chapelle Notre-Dame à Davignac) ; vers 1900 l'ensemble du retable avait été badigeonné de peinture marron masquant les polychromies ; autel, tabernacle et retable forment un ensemble homogène
