Historique :	Le moine cistercien Etienne est décédé en 1159 à l'abbaye de Bonaigue (diocèse de Limoges) ; son corps fut transporté à Aubazines dans la salle capitulaire de l'abbaye, en attendant l'érection de ce tombeau au 13e siècle
