Historique :	Cette statue du 17e siècle représente saint Roch, non pas en pèlerin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, mais en pèlerin de Saint-Pierre de Rome ('roumieu'), conformément à sa légende, car il porte des clés croisées sur le large rebord de son chapeau.

Matériaux :	bois : taillé, peint, doré
Observations :	Il a dû être sculpté d'après un modèle antérieur à 1550 car il n'est accompagné ni du chien ni de l'ange. Le style de la sculpture rappelle d'ailleurs le 16e siècle (note Mme Macary, 2-10-1971).
Précision sur_l'état :	La statue qui était dans un grand état de délabrement (pieds vermoulus, pied droit partiellement disparu, nombreuses lacunes de polychromie) a été restaurée entre 1975 et 1980 (peinture et dorure refaites). Elle nécessiterait à nouveau une intervention (salissure, épaufrures), peut-être une dé-restauration.

Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Roch est debout, mains jointes dans une attitude de prière. La barbe du visage est traitée en boucles. La cape retombe derrière les épaules. La tunique s'entrouvre pour laisser voir le bubon pestilentiel de la cuisse droite. Une bourse pend à sa ceinture au côté gauche. Les jambes sont protégées par des bottes à revers.
