Historique :	Cette élégante statue appartient à la fin du 15e siècle. Elle témoigne de l'influence de la sculpture gothique languedocienne en bas-limousin comme un grand nombre de Vierges de pitié taillées dans la pierre des carrières de Carennac.

Précision_sur la representation :	Sainte Fauste, tête nue comme une jeune vierge, a le visage encadré par une longue chevelure ondée. Elle porte une longue robe aux plis parallèles qui se cassent en atteignant le col. Elle se drape dans un lourd manteau dont elle retient les plis sur les bras. Ses mains qui étaient peut-être jointes dans l'attitude de la prière sont brisées.
