Historique :	Statue du 17e siècle de style populaire, identifiable à sainte Catherine d'Alexandrie en raison de son culte dans la paroisse, malgré l'absence d'attribut spécifique, mais pourrait être aussi une sainte Cécile

Observations :	oeuvre disparue ; La paroisse de Beyssac honore principalement sainte Catherine. C'est par transplantation du culte populaire dont jouissait autrefois cette sainte dans la chapelle de la Rivière érigée en vicairie par Innocent VI, pape limousin originaire de Beyssac.
Précision sur_l'état :	Signalée en mauvais état, très vermoulue, en 1979. L'avant-bras gauche manquait.
Précision_sur la protection :	Arrêté préfectoral : Statue, sainte Catherine, bois peint, XVIIème siècle, dans le choeur de l'église.
Précision_sur la representation :	La sainte est debout, mains jointes en prière, une palme dans sa main droite. Une couronne de fleurs dorées est posée sur ses longs cheveux châtain. Elle est vêtue d'une robe rose et d'un manteau rouge.
