Historique :	Il s'agit d'un exemple d'art populaire du 17e siècle : il faut noter une certaine disproportion entre le corps et la tête. Saint Maximin était le patron de la chapelle des pénitents noirs établis en 1681 à Collonges.

Observations :	Les pénitents noirs établis en 1681 à Collonges possèdent en dehors de cette église une chapelle saint Maximin (Poulbrière, J. B., op. cit., t. 1, p. 326).
Précision sur_l'état :	Très mauvais état, du support comme de la polychromie. Toiles d'araignée. Mains manquantes.
Précision_sur la protection :	Arrêté préfectoral : Statue, saint Maximin, bois peint, XVIIème siècle, dans la nef de la chapelle des pénitents.
Précision_sur la representation :	L'évêque porte le costume épiscopal, avec la mitre et une chape agrafée sur le devant. Il a les cheveux mi-longs, encadrant un visage barbu.
