Observations :	Il ne peut s'agir ni de saint Médard (au nom déformé localement en saint Merd), patron de la paroisse, fêté le 6 juin (cf. Champeval) représenté d'ordinaire en évêque et la bouche entrouverte, ni de saint Jacques l'Intercis (dont la fête est le 27 novembre). Il n'existe pas de dévotion dans la paroisse envers ce dernier martyr dont les attributs sont une hache ou des morceaux de mains et de pieds coupés (note G. Quincy, 17-7-1967).
Précision sur_l'état :	Repeint assez empâtant. Statue empoussiérée.
Précision_sur la protection :	Arrêté préfectoral : Saint Barthélemy, statue, bois sculpté polychrome, XVIIème siècle.
Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Barthélemy tient dans sa main droite le livre du Nouveau Testament. Dans sa main gauche, il serre le grand couteau avec lequel il fut écorché vif.
