Historique :	Cette statue de saint Jean-Baptiste du 18e siècle peut être rapprochée de celles de Treignac (notice PM19001070) et d'Ussac (notice PM19001100).

Précision sur_l'état :	La longue croix de roseau à banderole que le saint tenait dans sa main gauche a disparu, remplacée par un bâton. L'agneau, qui était originellement sur le côté gauche du saint, dans la direction de l'index pointé de la main droite, a été transféré sur le côté droit après 1970.
Précision_sur la protection :	Arrêté préfectoral : Saint Jean-Baptiste, statue, bois sculpté, XVIIIème siècle.
Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Jean-Baptiste debout, les cheveux et la barbe bouclés, est vêtu de la melote. Le torse et les bras sont laissés à nu, ainsi que la jambe gauche. Les pieds sont nus. Couché à son côté, l'agneau tourne la tête dans sa direction.
