Historique :	Une dynastie de fondeurs, les Dubois, était en activité au Puy-en-Velay de la fin du 16e siècle à la fin du 18e siècle. Par comparaison avec un seau appartenant à l'église de Saint-Julien-de-Coppel (Puy-de-Dôme, cf. notices PM63000876 et IM63000786), on pourrait leur attribuer celui de Courteix, qui est datable du 17e siècle.
