Historique :	Copie réduite datée 1846 d'après le tableau d'Emile Signol présenté au Salon de 1840 (musée du Louvre inv. RF 1520). Il en existe d'autres copies, une commandée par l'administration à Chintreuil pour l'église de La Gacilly (Morbihan), et une à l'église Saint-Denis à Amboise (Indre-et-Loire).
